1.    Neil Berg’s Broadway To Barbados 2017

Every year, the critically acclaimed ‘Broadway to Barbados’ brings you a diverse range of cast and performers to take you on a musical journey of popular Broadway hits right here in Barbados!

This highly anticipated production raises funds for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in order to provide financial support for the development of the MICU.

2.    The Sandy Lane Gold Cup Day 2017

‘The Sandy Lane Gold Cup’ is one of the biggest sporting events on the island and the most prestigious race on the Eastern Caribbean horse racing calendar.

From the inception, it has become a fond tradition for many locals alike, as it is not only for the horse race fanatic but rather, it is a family day that can be enjoyed by all.

This major event is also known to attract many visitors year after year as the atmosphere at The Sandy Lane Gold Cup Day can rival any major carnival event on the island.

The Barbados National Trust Open House Programme is a chance for locals and tourists alike to discover more about the island’s diverse architecture and history through the eyes of architecture!

4.    Cricket 

Cricket is without a doubt the number one sport played on the island and is hence considered the national sport of Barbados. It is no secret that Barbados has produced some of the greatest Cricketing Legends in the world such as Sir Everton Weekes, Sir Frank Worrell and Sir Garfield Sobers (just to name a few) and this has made Barbados one the favourite Cricketing Destinations in the Caribbean, and to some extent, the world.

The energy, the entertainment and most importantly the culture is what makes cricket in Barbados one of a kind!

5.    #LifeInLeggings – Reclaim Our Streets: Women’s Solidarity March (Barbados)

#LifeInLeggings is a story about untold stories. More so, it is a movement, a movement to end violence against women and girls. 

Here in Barbados, we have also shown our stance to end gender-based violence by reclaiming our streets with the “Reclaim Our Streets: Women’s Solidarity March”. Organised by ‘Life In Leggings: Caribbean Alliance Against Gender-based Violence’, this march aims to bring all walks of life together in solidarity with the survivors of gender-based violence, in memory of the women and girls who are no longer with us and to reclaim our streets for the generation of girls who have yet to grow up!

6.    Barbados Polo Season – AHPC Ladies International Tournament

Polo in Barbados has been growing increasingly popular as the atmosphere of locals and visitors alike is infectious.

The title says it all! This All-Ladies International Tournament is guaranteed to be a nailbiter and what’s more, it’s fun for the entire family!

7.    Team Barbados Endometriosis Worldwide March

The goal of ‘The Barbados Associaton of Endometriosis and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome’ alongside ‘The Worldwide Endometriosis March’ is to not only raise awareness about Endometriosis but to educate, support and empower all Barbadian women as well as their loved ones about this gynaecological issue.
